Fender Stratocaster

The Fender Stratocaster is one of the most sold guitars of the world. It was the second guitar developed by Leo Fender, which went into mass production. The first copies were sold on 15th May 1954. Their popularity probably resulted from the durable design, the facet-rich sound, and the outstanding playability. The instruments manufactured in the USA are considered generally as the Stratocaster with the highest quality. Afterwards come the so-called "Tex Mex" Stratocaster guitars. They are manufactured Mexico in the Fender high-end factory in Baja California, are based on the Fender Texas Specials® individual parts (Pickups, hardware). In the lower price category are the Stratocaster guitars of the Fender daughter-company Squier. Also they are manufactured partly in Mexico, partly in addition, in the Far East. In addition, these guitars contained not so high-quality hardware, but clearly lower-priced. With some luck you may get a good instrument for quite less money.
What counts is the feeling you have when you play your instrument. In addition, Stratocaster reproductions of expressed good quality are available partly from other companies.

The Stratocaster is sold by Fender in the following different forms:

* Standart
* Deluxe
* Classic Series
* American Standard
* Hot Rodded American Standard Series
* American Deluxe
* American Vintage
* American Special
* Artist Signature
